The Police Community Relations Office of the Kwai Tsing Police District visited our school to host an “Intergenerational Harmony: Traffic Safety and Community Crime Prevention Experience Day” . In addition to the attendance of all teachers and students at our school, members of the Senior Police Call and over 10 non-Chinese-speaking parents also joined the event. This activity allowed safety education to go beyond the classroom and into the community, allowing participants of different ages to interact and communicate with one another—reflecting the spirit of intergenerational harmony .
Today’s event focused on traffic safety and community crime prevention. Through on-site simulation demonstrations and four themed activity booths —namely traffic law observance, measures to prevent missing persons, crime-prevention information, and anti-drug and anti-fraud education—important knowledge was transformed into understandable and real-world experiences. When we learn to follow traffic rules, stay alert, and know how to seek help, we can protect ourselves and the people around us more effectively .
During the event, students not only observed carefully and maintained excellent discipline, but also learned to respect the elderly. We hope this interactive learning experience enables students to grasp what they have learned, greatly enhance their safety awareness, protect themselves, and, even more importantly, learn to love their community and their country
