【TYTAPS Drone Swarm Team Invited as Guest Performers for the "115th Anniversary of Hong Kong Scouting" Event 】

The Tsing Yi Trade Association Primary School (TYTAPS) Drone Swarm Team is honoured to have been invited by the Scout Association of Hong Kong (Chai Wan District) to be the guest performers for "Operation 115: Chai Wan District Sea, Land, and Air Battle", celebrating the 115th Anniversary of Hong Kong Scouting. Our team showcased a spectacular drone swarm performance to the public!

On the day of the event, our student team gave it their all. Through precise programming and a high degree of teamwork, they piloted multiple drones soaring through the sky, sequentially forming various patterns synchronised with lights and music . The scout leaders, parents, and members of the public in attendance were completely captivated, with continuous cheers and applause. Many guests even praised the performance as "beyond imagination"! Seeing our students confidently use technology to tell a story and instantly electrify the atmosphere made Principal Mak and our teachers incredibly proud.

This performance is the result of the students' long hours of hard practice, and it serves as a vivid embodiment of our school's promotion of "Computational Thinking and STEAM Education." The curriculum team has always aimed to break down classroom boundaries, allowing students to apply programming, mathematics, and collaborative problem-solving skills in real-world scenarios. From designing flight paths and choreographing patterns to on-site testing and adjustments, every step was led by the students, truly achieving the philosophy of “learning by doing and and innovating as they learn." Having the opportunity to interact on the platform of the Scouts—an organisation with a long history that values discipline and the spirit of service—was a twofold learning experience for the children.
