Our school's Primary 4 and 5 students recently participated in the "JC CoolScience" – EdUHK Eco-Garden Inquiry Learning programme, embarking on a green journey to explore the wonderful world of ecology.
Under the dedicated guidance of the instructors, students transformed into "budding scientists" and learnt the foundational methods of scientific inquiry and investigation. Students conducted water quality testing first-hand, carefully recording a variety of scientific data. They also delved into the workings of ecosystem services, gaining insight into the various vital functions of nature for living things and the indispensable importance of freshwater ecosystems to our daily lives.
During the field exploration, students were filled with curiosity about their surrounding ecological environment. The learning atmosphere was electric, with everyone working in teams, discussing with one another, and closely observing different ecological samples. Seeing the scientific results of their own testing and analysis, everyone was absolutely thrilled and full of joy!
