[Good News from TYTAPS・Another Milestone in AI Education] 

Tsing Yi Trade Association Primary School has won the "School Development Grand Award" in the University of Hong Kong's “Innovation Network for STEAM Mature, AI Ready Talents (IN-SMART)"project, in recognition of our outstanding curriculum development, teachers' professional growth, and students' diversified development! 

Organized by the Centre for Information Technology in Education (CITE) at the Faculty of Education, HKU, and funded by the Quality Education Fund, this prestigious recognition aims to foster curriculum leadership and promote the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) learning elements into STEAM curricula to build a generative, sustainable, and innovative educational ecosystem. The project's objectives encompass enhancing teachers' capabilities in designing Self-Directed Learning (SDL) STEAM lessons, establishing an AI literacy framework for educators, and developing the school's capacity for multi-level connected learning to facilitate educational innovation.

For many years, TYTAPS has been deeply committed to STEAM education. From our early cross-curricular "TYTA Aerospace Journey" to our recent "Dinosaurs at TYTAPS" AI and VR teaching program (which won the "AI and Innovative Technology Education Excellence Teaching Award 2025"), we have continually broken new ground with our school-based curriculum. We seamlessly integrate AI, coding, and problem-solving skills with human-centric values.

With the support of the IN-SMART project, our AI education has further integrated across different subjects:

Cross-disciplinary Learning: By designing conversational scenarios and interactive stories, we enhance students' language comprehension and expressive skills.

Chinese Language: We utilize AI writing assistant tools to guide students in analyzing article structures, polishing sentences, and deepening their language application techniques.

Community Service: We have collaborated with the Junior Police Call and community elderly centers to extend AI applications into community service, truly embodying the integration of technology and moral education.

This "School Development Grand Award" is the greatest affirmation of Tsing Yi Trade Association Primary School's direction in STEAM and AI education, as well as the best reward for the tireless efforts of all our teachers and students. We will continue our mission of innovative teaching, consistently optimize our cross-disciplinary curricula, and build a broader platform for our children to equip them for the future and help them shine brightly in this rapidly developing era of technology!
